don't forget the smoke will make its way to the front cabin of the car....unless you can make it airtight....you will be breathing exhaust and fake fog....

final decision:

i love gadgets, and that's why i wanted to do something like this.

HOWEVER, my imagination has been given a dose of reality.......i'm gonna not do this for now because i would be entirely too scared of its misuse, not by me, but by a buddy in the passenger seat.

in rethinking this, if i were to ever do this, i would not use it on the road. my original thought is that if i did use it for like, less than a second, it would be equivalent to traveling behind an old diesel school bus that you definitely wouldn't want to tail.

Never heard of a roofing nail spreader before...what kind of machine is that? ....is that the same as a roofing nailer?

Damn, to be honest I thought hawk was kidding about the smokescreen for tailgaters and the comments were a little unnecessary, since I thought he wanted to use it for show purposes, but umm ...hawk...thats a big no-no

Besides, who would want to buy a LEX after seeing smoke billowing out from the car?

wow i cant believe how many people have such critisim about this idea......

Hawk..... listen to me.... Ive done this idea before on an install i did for someone. and let me tell you everyone at car shows absolutly love it. (however the way i have it set up its really cool) its a HUGE attention getter, you see, the back of the trunk has two subs inverted on each side of the trunk, then in the middle is a flat wall, but once you hit a button out from the wall comes a hidden drawer with the two amps and a cap, this is where the fog comes out of, once the drawer slides out the fog adds to the effect and all the blue neons glow with the fog. it looks really nice,

anyway if you want to still do it, let me know and ill tell you how to do it.

Default smokescreen solution

hey i thought if you still wanted smokescreen i could give you a low cost mod.

just release all coolant/water mixture from your radiator. also be careful to drain liquids from coolant resevoir as well.

proceed to drive hard like this for couple weeks.

then once head gasket is sufficiently modified, add fluids back to your radiator and resevoirs once again.

the oil / water mixture in the head will cause a nice bluish smoke to emit from your dual exhause obscuring visability of any and all would be followers.

ps deceide carefully whether you want to try this as it is a low cost mod to implement, but very expensive if you deceide you dont like it.

let me know how it turns out

kidding

I think if you put a Fogger in the trunk the smoke will stay in the trunk and maybe inside the vechicle. How do you guys come to the conclusion that the car behind you is going to get any smoke, unless you put a hose from the fogger going outside the vechile to the rear. I still think it's a dumb idea, even for show purpose. Every time I go to a show and people see smoke. The first impression people get is "Look that car is on fire"
