Default Door wind deflectors - Do they cut down on wind noise?

I noticed that the top portion of my driver's door sits out just enough that it garners wind noise when driving.
In a fantasy world, I'd use my giant finger to push the door corner in to bend it so it sits flush.
But until marijuana is legalized here in NJ, I'm wondering is the wind deflectors would help cut down on the wind noise.

Thanks in advance.

The deflector sticks into the wind, so if anything, it'll likely increase the noise you have. I'd try adjusting the door, either by way of a body shop (to get the top closer to the roof-line) or at minimum, by the door striker.
