I'm back? Some updates on my GS-F
Sorry guys, been gone a while lol....
I noticed a lot of the OG are gone as well. So in my hiatus I was busy starting and establishing a performance shop/machine shop Power Dynamix. Now we are mostly dropping the performance shop aspect of it as we do not have enough manpower and resources to dedicate into building cars. Most of our time and effort goes into machining and building race engines for many well known shops and people around the country. We still do the occasional build on our own personal vehicles when time allows.
My GGP SportDesign GS300 AKA "GS-F" before the real GS-F came out is currently around 1100whp, and yes still through the 5 speed Toyota A650E. Although I would highly recommend against using this transmission for this HP level(it tends to not like it so much), nonetheless I believe I hold some kind of HP record on this transmission The video below is with the car still on the Built A650E, next year we are coming out with a new transmission never done on a Lexus before(at least to my knowledge).
Not sure if any of the OG are still around or if anyone here is still doing these "builds" but just wanted to give some kind of update. I'll try to pop in here a little more often.
A short youtube video of the current state of the car.

Good to see you're still around Jeff!
I've read lots of good information you've shared over the years and respect what you've done with your car.
I'm currently on the Infiniti train at the moment but the right GS400 that comes my way may possibly sway me back to the Lexus Cruise ship again lol
Look forward to seeing more of your build

He lives. I figured you were so covered up with work / life that you hadn't been here in a while. 1100 HP in the A650E must be a world record. Hat's off to you. Makes me with I still had my 5 speed, it would make the single turbo much more punchy off the line. Your car is an animal.
It's great to see your talents are in high demand in the industry and you're still working on this platform. As someone that has read and re-read many of your posts on this site, and viewed many youtube videos, I'm super appreciative of what you've contributed to the community for which I have found much value. Sadly it seems the "community" has transitioned to facebook community with all the quality that comes with an unmoderated open internet melee. There are still a few folks here that are actively passionately building and crafting on these machines. Sadly, far fewer than before.
I'll be interested to see what direction you take with the transmission. I've been all over the map (currently on the stock A340E Aristo with around 450-500rwhp), recognizing it's only a matter of time and patience with this old 4 speed. I was thinking possibly a DCT. But I've been very impressed with the 8hp70 ZF transmission and it's ability to hold pretty good power (800-900). It's relatively inexpensive and would have better street manners than the DCT, at the cost of some weight and slower shift speed than a DCT. There's an adapter that's made to bold it up to the 2jz. However, I think the bigger challenge will be the tuning. I've been watching the progress of some guys out of Poland with HTG Tuning. Their GCU is pretty robust in a capable tuner's hands.

Welcome back - thanks for checking back in with the CL 2nd gen forum Jeff. Great to hear you're still addicted to auto powertrain mods.
May the legendary auto tranny upgrades continue...
Swarm of Kalifornians are now following your lead to TX, lol.

I randomly check this board expecting nothing and see an OG like you posting....good to see you're still messing with these. Watched your timing belt guide earlier this year to fix my cam seals 🤣

I’ve had my GS since 00’ but haven’t driven it in 4 years. Man it looks bad right now but I can’t let it go. Seeing threads like this makes me wanna get it going again! Good to see you around here Jeff!
