Default How come I never seen this grey color on a GS

Its weird, its like a mix between silver and the charcoal, I have seen charcoal, but not this light grey color, I am kinda diggin it. I have not seen one on CL, there is a 430 and a 300 for sale on EBay the same color both 2001's.

My car is in the marketplace now!

Looking at the ad, the car looks like it's actually Mystic Sea Opalescent, a grey/green color. I beleive this color first appeared on the GS 300/430 in 2001 and is still being produced today.

That is the first GS i have ever seen with that color. It looks very nice. That GS 430 was probably a special order, because i think almost all 430s come with Navigation, ML system, and wood steering wheel, and that car doesnt have any of those features.

I guess that color is even more rare than my Blue Onyx.

Default Grey Color

I know what green/gray color you are referring to, I have seen that color also, but this one in the link is a light charcoal color, cause there is another 2001 gs300 on ebay the same color, check it out, I just think it is weird that nobody has one here, oh well I kinda like it, I don't like the dark charcoal on the GS, I would just like to see one in person, cause I am contemplating colors of my next car. I love the color of my first generation because of the pearl look in the paint, and cause it always looks clean, the newer champagne is too flakey and more gold or brown like, was deabting silver but I see to many 2nd generations that color, and am kinda stuck on Diamond white.

D, I come here everyday while at work sometime during the day, I just don't post that much cause I don't have anything to mod that I feel like doin, or questions. I wish I didn't come so often actually cause I see all these 2nd generations done right and it makes me want to go buy a 430 cause I haven't bought anything in a while, oh well I still love my car, we'll see, but these nice *** cars are driving me nutts, I think you should get a GS if my thoughts count, it just seems like more of your taste, ahahahah

Don't know what is going on with the one on the E bay site. It says it is something called midnight pine pearl. As I recall when I was getting my 2k1 GS4 there was something in pine but it was a fairly dark green, not what is on the car in the photo. Mystic Pearl Opalescent came very near the color I wanted, which was a medium gray. However, the mystic pearl is a very changeable color. In some lighting situations it takes on an olive drab look that was pretty disgusting. When I bought my blue onyx GS4, far and away, the most common color on the cars on the lots was mystic pearl. I still see quite a few and, like I said, under some lighting conditions it is pretty attractive. Under others, that green comes through and not in a good way. Not to flame anyone who bought it, it was close to what I wanted but it just didn't do it under varying lighting conditions when that green came through.
