HOT TO: Emblem Removal...
Sup Club?!
Does anyone know how I can remove the "GS300" Emblem in the back (on the trunk)? Also, will there be a hole where the emblem used to be? I just want to remove it, and maybe the "Lexus" emblem, for a cleaner, more "mysterious" look.
Any and all feedback is appreciated.
I am hopeing the answer is as easy as, "Grab and razor and slice it off, be carefull not to scratch your paint). "

PhantomZX: I have this Pink Lotion Wax I got from the LA Car a few years ago and it just melts through Tree Sap, Gum, Stickers, etc. It took 5 minutes to melt the adhesive enough to remove the emblems, the other 55 minutes was adhesive removal.
Theres a little discoloration where the emblems used to be but I am guessing that will fade away with time.
Anyone else with discoloration. The car is a '98.

I took all the emblems off the trunk and replaced with black pearl.
I didn't see any discoloration after washing and polishing the areas. In fact, I didn't have any reference point for putting the new stickers back on, so I just went by eye. I thought it turned out well, but I have nothing to compare it against.

I started with dental floss but I think because of the age of the adhesive, it has pretty much turned my Aristo emblem into cement and I keep on breaking the fragile dental floss. I ended up taking some ravia (nylon) rope, sliced it into thinner strips and use it to cut the emblems loose. After that I was using some foamy chemical normally used for tree sap and bugs and wiped the extra gooey adhesive clean. An extra dollop of wax and the car becomes spotless.

BlueLex: I just removed the "Lexus" and "GS300" emblems. IMO it looks much cleaner/smoother now. I was just out and when I came back to the car I looked at it thinking, "Yeah...much cleaner now!"
JTanoyo1 : I broke that stupid dental floss SO many times!!! And it got so d*mn tight that I thought I was gonna lose a finger!! Buit whenever the glue would get hard, I would just heat it up again with a hairdryer.
Has anyone removed all three emblems? Doesn't it look a little plain?
