Eh?
Is your speedometer back-lighting going in and out?
Or do you have some warning lights on?

There is no picture.

That indicates a problem with the ABS, braking, or VCS systems, possibly a combination of all three.

The red "BRAKE" light really is only supposed to illuminate when the fluid level is low, the parking brake is on, or there's some other catastrophic brake system failure.

Either way, if the car is appearing to drive normally, take the car to someone/somewhere that has a full-system OBD-II reader to get the codes and find out what's wrong. Your average off-the-shelf scan tool won't show brake system codes.

You also have a fault in your air-bag system, which you should probably get checked out as well.

Were you intentionally revving the car in the picture? The idle is way too high.

that’s cruising at like 80mph drives fine, had a starting issue one morning and that’s where the airbag light came in.

Then your speedometer obviously doesn't work either. Sounds like your car has got a plethora of issues; more than any one of us is going to be able to diagnose over the internet.

I often take mine to a Lexus dealer's service department, pay them the $100 diagnostic fee, and let them tell me everything that's wrong with it, then find cheaper solutions elsewhere.

Actually, those VSC and ABS lights could be caused by a faulty rear wheel speed sensor. The gauge cluster ECU is fed speed information by the ABS/VSC/TC ECU, of which gets the speedometer readings off of the rear wheels. If a rear wheel speed sensor is malfunctioning, your speedometer won't work either.

Not saying you're wrong, but then what is the purpose of the speed sensor on the tail end of the A650E transmission?

In all Toyota transmissions except for CVT I think, the speed sensor(s) at the output shaft of the transmission is/are used to calculate good shift times and RPMS. It compares the output shaft RPM to the input shaft RPM then finds when to upshift, downshift, and whether or not it is achieving the correct transmission ratios, that way it can throw a code if the ratios are off (which would indicate slippage). I'm not entirely sure why they didn't just make the speedometer go off of the output shaft speed sensor, probably would have been easier but, there is obviously a reason for it.

Also, if the transmission speed sensor would go wrong, you would probably end up with the transmission not shifting at all, or shifting incredibly erratically. It would essentially be shifting blind.
