The banging/clangin sound will be me assembling my futon!!

GREAT garage, to be honest who needs the house, just let the wife and kids use that!

I just took a look at the picture again...and see that you have recessed lighting for each one of the pictures...

Were those purposely added after the fact...or did you just get lucky and they were existing?

GS4fun i added them after the fact. The garage had no lighting other than the Garage door motor units. So I added a total of 18 Recess lighting in the 3 bays. That wall with the pictures is my gallery wall and I had those put there for the pictures.

Nice collection.

Are your wife's cars outside of the garage? She is OK with that? Or you are sleeping in your Porche

There are some people in the world that can have everything. You are my admirer.

DR LLL.... Hope your garage floor is waterproof!!!
Hey, I'll move in with DG. We'll split the garage rent to Jcramair
I've seen 8 car garages in 1 house in Cali and none with nice taste of cars like JC.
Must be nice also to have no house-clutter.

Beautiful house, great garage, and unbelievable cars!

congratulations on a wonderful set up, and thanks for sharing.

....and here I thought I had a nice car / garage set up with my GS300 and 93 RX-7:

I know you mentioned having your garage floor tiled, and I highly recommend it. I tiled mine two years ago, and it is holding up very nicely.

congrats again, and keep us posted on the garage and any new residents!

KVA that is roughly the price in this area also, Beverly is North of Boston and is known in this part of the country as the Gold Coast. I have never been to Cali, but hope to get out there at some point to hook up with lots of friends from both this board and www.6speedonline.com.

99GS300,

What type of flooring did you use for your garage floor? I am looking into a product called race deck flooring. It's a rubber based flooring that allows easy maintence and cleaning.

The product I used is an industrial floor tile made by Armstrong. It comes in 12x12 tiles, and is 1/8" thick. here are the specs:

Product Specifications

Internet ID: 807255

Brand: Armstrong

Manufacturer: Armstrong World Industires

Model #: 51910-031

Color/Finish: Classic Black

Width: 12 in.

Adhesive Type: dry-back

Commercial/Residential: Commercial

Edge Type: Straight

Pack Coverage: 45 sq. ft.

Pack Quantity: 45 tiles/carton

Thickness: 1/8; 3/32 in.

Type: Dry-Back Vinyl

UPC CODE: 042369017343

I am very happy with the results. I prepped the concrete floor prior to applying the tiles, and sealed the tiles twice. I have spilled oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, and not a single stain. I installed it in November of 2000, and it still looks great. It shines like new after I clean and polish it. Of course, my neighbors think I'm a little nuts when they see me out in the garage with an industrial floor polisher!

I know that there are lots of products available that are more expensive, and were probably "designed" as garage flooring, but I'm really happy with the way my floor turned out.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

David
