Fast and nice, as they are, I'm willing to guarantee a Supra will NEVER be a Porsche!! Different class of vehicle!

If I try hard enough (and put another engine in my trunk) I could make MY CAR beat that Porsche, but.....you get my point.

Well I beg to differ guys. I have a 97 supra with the stage 5 kit form supra store. Ive raced lots of cars. I would have to say the car I give the most props to that I've raced was was a viper venom 800(ohh and of course some other supras ) I only pulled on him by 3 cars... he he . ...... Anyways I've ran many Porsches ... and beat them all. If you are talking about road racing through tight turns and banks.... yes definitely a Porsche takes the cake. Remember now I'm talking about ***** out freeway runs which IMO Porsches are weak in. BTW I just Dynoed my car 2 months ago 827 RWH and 890 RWT.

Power without control is nothing. As I previously stated I could strap a jet booster on my shoulders, and outrun a Porsche in a straight line! I love Toyota Supras, they are great looking, power house vehicles, plus they demonstrate the engine potential of my powerplant.

To be honest, your point is kinda moot, Toyota's/Porsches=apples/oranges.

Enjoy your Supra, sounds like it has alot of power.

so i guess u'r point is that u can take his porsche.....but where in the post does he state where he wants 2 know who can take his porsche? i think it was about nice cars and garage not who can take who. i'm sure thiers another car out there that can take yours, and another car that can take that one as well...

but 2 more important things, who's moving into his garage 1st? "D"?

I just made a simple comment at first to imply that not all supras are the same....to add to his comment about beating supras be 8-10 car lengths.. nothing about taking anyones car.... then you guys started bashing supras... thats all....... im sure there is sombody who can beat my car ... i never said there wasnt............................. power without control????? how would you know....my car has plenty of control ...and "Toyota's/Porsches=apples/oranges" ......you got that right.......... my neighbor has a $115k 911tt ...he drives it once a week.... in the shop once every 2 months.... i have a $35k supra i drive it every day..... never in the shop.... and with that..... thats enough bickering...... lets end this

Guys, this thread is/has gotten WAY off topic for the GS forum.... real estate, Supra vs Porche, garage flooring.

I'm going to close this thread with compliments to jcramair1 on his beautiful cars and garage.

Default Supras & Porsches

I would like to set the record straight to OsideGS4 that I was not implying that my car can take all Supras all I was implying is that the particular car that I beat was buy 8-10 car lengths. It seems as though you have taken offense to this, sorry if it came of that way.

The bottom line on this issue with these 2 cars is they are completely different cars, one is a pure race car with a very strong heritage behind it. The other is a Sports Car that has great reliability and can go fast in a straight line with little to no mods.

As far as Porsche Reliability I must say that my car has not been to the shop once for anything other than an Oil change. Of course it has been there for some goodies but that is a good thing. BTW Oside I would love to see pictures of your car and DYNO sheet and remember one thing there is always somebody faster. I learned that the hard way a long time ago.

Actually, a recent survey by JD Powers listed Porsche in the top 5.

thats was my point 2 that post , it wasn't about what car whos's car was faster than who's. it was about u'r 2 white beauties...sorry if i cam off harsh, but i wasn't bashing anyone just stating what the post was about ......like i said in that post what ever fast car u've been in theirs always someone faster somewhere.

but again ..who's moving into u'r garage 1st? whens the tv coming?

Guys, in case you didn't notice the thread (now merged) was CLOSED because people were arguing in it off topic. Please do not start another one in the GS forum, Supra VS Porche has absolutely nothing to do with anything that belongs here.

If you want something like that, either take it to PM or start it in the car chat forum and keep it civil. Closed... again
