Default Replacing the driver's side parking light bulb

Looking everywhere, I couldn't find a guide, so maybe this will help someone.
It's not complicated, but it's super hard to reach, and you will swear a lot at times, during the 30minutes the job takes.

  1. You'll need to remove this box....

  2. Start by detaching one tube and two cables behind the box...

  3. Remove the tube connecting to the cooling fan in front.
You'll might need a flat screwdriver to undo the tab.

  4. The box is held in place by one screw and two nuts.

    Remove the right screw.

  5. And then two nuts.
Be careful, these are easy to drop into the engine bay if they fall out of the socket wrench.
Here's the one in front of the box...

  6. And the one behind it...
If you detached the tube from the chassis in step 2, you can easier access the nut.

  7. Lift the box 1cm (half an inch) and then tilt it backwards to get it higher.

  8. Place the lip of it on the beam in front of you, this will give you more room to remove the bulb holder.
(Here it's already pulled out, it's not this visible to start with.)

  9. I suggest you try removing the passenger side bulb a couple of times, to get the feeling for the position of the bulb bayonet holder angles.
Min driver's side one even got stuck on a cable under/behind it, when trying to pull it out, you need to be sure it has unhooked from the socket, and then try to wiggle it free.

  10. Test the new bulb in it's socket before assembling everything back together in reverse order.
  11. Putting back the two nuts, not to have them dropping into the abyss, I made sure they sit in the wrench socket.
I put the rusty one behind the box, to allow for a repeat of this process the next time, as road salt eats away on the edges.

Wow. That is a ton of work for that bulb. Hope mine does not go out anytime soon. If it does, LED all the way.

Yikes! That's a lot of work. I did it once without removing any of the stuff in the way. Took some maneuvering but it's very doable if you have dexterity with your fingers. Practice on the passenger side first to get a feel of how much to put on unlocking and locking the bulb into its socket.

looks complex,, hope fully there is easier way, just space issue, not sure whether a small hand can just twist like driver side.
the car also has side marking light, I don't know when they will light on, anybody can clarify?

Thanks a lot! I changed my driver side - stupid construction too hard to change. Remove the clamps and bolt/nuts just get a slightly tilt, Front stud still stays in box hole.
I need to pull out the wire that is snapped in a ring. The bulb for 05 GS300 is W5w.
