brake lights dont work all other lights do. I realized this because shifter was stuck in park. today i took the brake light Switch out and cleaned the contact points. And tested it with multimeter and it seemed fine. Well now that i put it in, same problem. .checked fuse on driver side kick panel and it looked good but changed it anyways and still nothing. I'm stumped guys. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Shift lock relies on the brake switch I'm thinking it is still not working properly.

I think it's pretty likely the switch as well. Anyways, you should test it in the car, not removed. You need to see if voltage passes through the switch when the pedal is depressed.
