Default repainting front end of car

ok someone hit and ran my car when i was parked at the airport. it only broke the paint no dents , and on top of that from going too fast i have rock chips all on my hood. im just curious has anybody just repainted certain parts of there cars and still got it to match the rest of the car? i figure since my car is crystal white uv fading isnt a big factor. any inputs ?

Same here, I did the hood and both front fenders when getting the kit put on....no matching issues with mine...its black though, probably easier to match.

As long as the shop blends it you should have no issues.

Yes. A good shop should be able to match things fine. Did my front end earlier this year too.

Since we're on this subject...How much would it cost (in your experiences) to repaint/blend the hood & front bumper assembly? Basically the entire front end, but not including the side fenders. Thinking about doing mine over.....hating those rock chips. BTW, Alpine Silver.

On another note...what is the best way to rid of the black road tar speckles found on the bottom edges of our panels?!

Can't remember the exact amount off the top of my head but I think it was around 2k.

Have you tried the 3M Bug & Tar remover?

I had my bumpers repainted Diamond White Pearl B/C of the yellowing and no problems. I should have done the hood too.

Guru is right, pearl white is a three stage paint, (base, pearl, clear). If you paint the front end you will have to blend the front doors and probably the pillar as well.

If you want to get the tar off your front bumper, use a clay bar. This will get all reidue off your paint and make it smooth like glass. If you need more info on this let me know, I am now a pro clay man, and have turned many of my friends onto it!

Gook luck,

Joel
