DEPO LED Left Inner Brake Light Out
While out driving, my friend pointed out that my left inner brake light wasn't turning on when I pressed on my brakes. They are DEPO brand aftermarket tail lights, and I was wondering if anyone experienced or had heard of someone who had these go out. Got the feeling I'd have to buy another set just to replace one faulty enclosure. I plan on removing the trunk liner tomorrow to see if some wires disconnected. If everything is intact, would I be able to get the wafer, or the LEDs on the wafer repaired/replaced? Only other option would be to buy Spec D inner tail lights, because they at least will match the LED outer lights and DEPO only seems to sell the whole shabang .

Huh, guess I should fire up the YouTube tutorials and buy a soldering gun haha. But noted, because I read on another thread that if one light is bad, the whole assembly is kaput. I plan to have a check-up day where I inspect the smaller stuff like that, in addition to the exhaust hangers. Thank you

So the issue was a disconnected wire that went from the aftermarket tail lights to the oem harness. Whoever installed the lights didn’t do a great job lol. I tried to take out the terminal to solder the wire to it and put it back in but the inside of the OEM harness is mangled what the… anyway, I shoved the wire in and put masking tape over it .
Miles and miles of bumpy roads later the lights still come on. Lesson learned: before going and re-soldering an array of LED lights, check your connections, doy!
