My 02 lexus 2jz is making a rattling noise while accelerating and is in limp mode shooting a p0125 code plus a shift solenoid c electrical code. Any suggestions on how to avoid having to buy a new trans or engine? It's not stalling it's able to drive at slow speeds no hills but I need it temporarily until I get my other car to swap it

that code is usually o2 sensors on the GS. I wouldn’t say you need a new engine or trans, what makes you think that? Shift solenoid will cause shifting issues that make the car drive weird and if your o2 sensor is actually bad it will stall and drive horrible.
