the previous owner redid the suspension, steering rack, pump and lines, the ac system is new also. The original 325k transmission hesitates to go in gear when it’s cold but other than that there is no sign of this crazy mileage.
The headlights from the later cars will fit no problem on the older ones. Other than the tint they are functionally identical. I won’t divulge what I paid for my lights because it wouldn’t be fair, lol
That's basically what I did with my SC. The TB had just been done literally a couple of hundred miles before I purchased it. I then went through the engine/transmission first. Replaced every Vacuum line and hoses, PCV valve, A/C, emissions etc.. Changed out the generic green coolant that was in the radiator and back to Asian Pink. Had the paint done and it went from there to paint correction and ceramic coating. Then came suspension. She's a little piggy. Hard on bushings. Lastly was the interior. LSeat provides a great product at a great price. And now she is almost like new. Took me about two years and 8K. But that's what you do. Find a car with great bones and go through them system by system. Great job Sir.

Before you accumulate too many miles and/or pick up an untimely rock chip, I hope you've looked into getting your new OEM headlights covered with protective film. Aside from being expensive and brand new OEM units for a car that's two decades old, far better to have that protection now versus dealing with it later after they get weathered and look terrible like those on most other GSes still on the road.

lol I’m just curious what’s the cheapest the lights can be had for so I can make myself feel better about wasting $750. I had that problem with the hesitation into gear when cold and after changing the transmission fluid a few times it went away.

for the pair or each? Is that the whole assembly or just the headlight portion?

Have you done the transmission fluid yet?

$600 for the pair
just the housings without bulbs or ecu

trans flush will help a little but it’s the accumulator valve in the valve body that wears out. No amount of fluid changes will fix it. I have a replacement transmission ready to swap in anyway. I may rebuild this transmission one day.
