Default Going NA-T can I get away without replacing head gasket/studs

I am about to turbo my 02 gs300 from what I have read most people recommend getting a 1.7mm thick head gasket and arp head studs and they run 20 psi plus. My question is can I avoid doing head gasket and studs I only plan on running 8psi max for now at least. Any input is appreciated!
