Cracked front bumper
Hi all. I have a friend with a 2000 GS that has a cracked front bumper. For all those California owners, any body shops or collision centers that you recommend? Anything to look out for? Thanks!

Hmmm. Yea. No. They have tools that can be used to complete Plastic Welds. But it's the paint. That's the real cost. The new one I like is the "Hot Staple Plastic Welding for Car Bumper Fender Welder Stapler Repair Kit" on ebay for less than $20.00. Some filler then paint. If he takes it somewhere, they are going to quote probably around $1,600 for the entire job. It's too small for most shops.

Depending how fussy your friend is, I would try and find a used one of the same color. These cars are old enough with plenty in the junk yards that you should be able to find one for relatively low cost. Around here there always some available at the JDM shops. Bumper is replacement is a pretty easy DIY.
