Default Ecu help !


Is this burnt out ? 1998 gs300 ecu my throttle position sensor went bad do to some wiring issuesu and I believe this may have burnt out please Help

Paul here. Electronics tech for 40+ years. I do not immediately see anything obvious from the picture. Of course we don't have schematics to know exactly where to look either. BUT, resistor R100 (or R525 not sure the exact identification) does have a different color than R021. What else I see is the typical solder flux contamination which can be conductive. You could clean it with some electronics cleaner to get that out of the way as a cause. My suggestion though is to locate a business that can test it for you. Unfortunately, if you have to change the ecm, you will need to reprogram your keys too. It's not a small job. Nor is it cheap. But there are places out there that can do it. And for a lot less than the dealer. If you have access to the opposit side of the board, it would be wise to look for the tell tale signs of blown components which is discoloration of the sub straight in are of component damage.
