does anyone know how to fix....
I have this really annoying rattling coming from my glovebox area while driving. It so loud, that I can hear it over the stereo(NAK). But then when, I put my CD holder case in the glove box underneath the changer, the rattling goes away?! Just wanted to ask all of you, if you have similar poblems with rattling from the glove box area, and how did you fix it! thanks, in advance

It's a defect, Lexus Dealer should be able to fix it for you for free! What year is your ride? I remember this issue was discussed awhile ago... Anyone disagreed?

Brother Neo,
Listen, You will be fully accommondated by Lexus, since it's a DEFECT! They will have to FIX it no matter what. It's a KNOWN issue, they will fix it.... otherwise just call the Satisfaction hotline and the result will be the same: They will fix it!
To save your time and trouble, call the hotline and then the dealer!
Stupid glove compartment drives you crazy!

What is the hotline? Also, if it is a known defect, are they required to fix it w/o charge? I don't believe so because I cannot get them to fix that steering wheel shake unless I pay $700.

Some has the retentioner tighten up and that will fix it... do a search on "Stearingwheel vibration" etc.
No, You do not have to pay $700 man.

Are these cumulative? Meaning that the ones dated in 2001 affects the previous year models too or just that year. I have a 98 and I see actually 2 glovebox rattle TSBs on the 00 and 99 lists. Does this mean it affects my year too? And you guys are sure they will fix these even after warranty is gone?

glovebox fix
the best thing to use is felt. place the felt around the perimeter of the glovebox in the inside, especially where the peg that activates the light in the glovebox. lexus did the initial placing of the felt, unfortunately they charged b/c car was out of warranty. i added somemore felt and haven't had a problem since.
