Default 2007 Lexus GS350 Transmission return line from the Radiator

Hello guys,

I just got a used 07 lexus GS350, i am trying to do a DIY transmission flush. I have not been able to locate the tranny fluid return line from the radiator.

The radiator does not seems to have cooler line going to it from the transmission. All the radiator I have seen in life always have two tranny fluid going to it, but not this one. Does anyone have an idea how to drain out the fluid completely from any line?

I would avoid doing a flush on these transmission as they are not needed. What the majority we do is drain and fill about 2 times and a 3rd pan drop to swap out the filter. When you drain and fill you only are able to drain about 3-4qt

What you simply do is remove the bottom drain alien, pour it into a measuring jug and fill it on the side theres a black plastic cap covering the big hex fill bolt.

There are videos on youtube that detail how to drain and fill.

Thanks a lot ibidu. I did drain and filled 2 times already with 4quart each time. I changed the filter twice. The oil is still super black and burnt. I keep getting P2757 after replacing TCC sensor.

Now I want to drain it again, this time, I will not fill back the 4 quart. I will cover the plug and start the car for 30 seconds and see if the remain in the Torque converter will come back to the transmission pan, then drain it again and refill with fresh oil.

Thats weird why its coming out black and burnt fluid after filling new fluid. Maybe you have an issue with a shifter solenoid, maybe its clogged and delaying your shifts allowing the clutch packs to slip. From that slipping I think thats whats cooking your transmission fluid. My car has 140k miles when I did my first fluid change and red fluid came out, so you def have some issue internally.

What I would do, since you already have experience of dropping the pan. I would pull each shifter soldnoid and clean its screen, with a good cleaner. Also if you have a good scan tool, you can do a solenoid ping test to each solenoid and see if you have a lazy solenoid, especiallyl with the oil pan off should be easier for you to hear. But I would def repair it, soon so you do not glaze the clutch packs

Heres a video on an is250 and he shows the solenoid replacement

Old thread,
This might help someone reading it.
The 06 GS300 and 2010 GS300 's I have do not have coolers in the radiator.
The 2006 GS430 I have DOES have a radiator cooler with lines you can drain the torque converter from.
(different transmission as well. GS430 has A761E, GS300 has A960E)
. Chances are the 350 has the same set up as a 300,
