Hi,

Did any of you guys managed to replace automatic transmission in Lexus GS300 MK3 ? Mine is 2005 and I was thinking to do that job next weekend but didn't find any DYI tutorial.

Can any of you share some tips/tricks to accomplish it successfully ? Any help will be appreciated.

Now only first 3 gears are working, replaced all solenoids and new oil and no luck.

Hi, Bart.

Now since you've replaced the transmission, please share some experience.

 

unscrew front part of an exhaust, both oxygen sensors, 2 exhaust supports, axle shaft.
Once its done you have to unscrew 2 bolts that are holding starter , take it out and take out all connectors that go to gearbox.
Next thing is to disconnect metal part that sets your gears, unscrew it from gearbox.
Last bit is to undo all screw holding gearbox. You will need more than 1 metre of extension to undo top bolts
