Set default screen to Audio
I have a 2006 GS300, and recently my screen changed to the navigation mode as soon as I turn my car on. It never used to do this, and it's driving me crazy. I push the Audio button and it switches to the Audio controls, but when I put my car in reverse to back out it goes right back to Navigation mode once I put it in drive. If I push Audio again it stays on the radio until I Chang either to climate or whatever else I want it to be on. I don't use the navigation mode at all. How do I get it to just default to the Audio screen when I start my car up like it's done for the last year that I've owned it?
Thanks,
Brandon

I think this might be a quirk of the GS infotainment system, or possibly an issue as they get older and the flash memory starts to degrade. You can check the setting for the "automatic transition to navigation" option by pressing the "Info" button, then touch the "Screen Setting" option. From the manual (page 255):
(a) Automatic transition
You can select a function that enables automatic return to
the navigation screen from the audio screen.
Select the “ON” or “OFF” and then touch the “OK”.
ON: The navigation screen automatically returns from the
audio or air conditioning screen 20 seconds after the end of
audio or air conditioning screen operation.
OFF: The audio or air conditioning screen remains on.
If that doesn't change your system's behavior, my guess is a bug in the infotainment system or failing hardware.
