GS430 Keyless start issue
#16
When you hardwire a bulb to the trigger wire, this will help determine that the button his actually commanding the starter or not. Instead of relying on the ignition switch light.
I remember awhile back there were issues with the GS430 with immboilzer, they called it the immobilzer trick.
Heres the procedure! I had to search for it.
A: Press the ignition button, this will turn on the dash.
B: Next press the ignition again to turn it off.
C: Next get out of the car and close the door, with the key, unlock and lock the vehicle 3 times.
D: Then open the door and try to start the car.
Also have you tried using another key fob?

That youtube video was one of the first things I found and it sadly did not work.
The car started working again today when it was still a bit colder outside but it had rained so more damp air and then after a few hours when it got dryer it stopped working again for a while until I started gently moving the cables around near the ECUs on the passenger side. After that it started and drove multiple times. I've removed all connectors and cleaned with electric cleaner. Will check if it's still happy to start this evening

Have you checked all the fuses? Like pulled every fuse out and inspected the fuse and terminal? 2006 GS had issues with there drivers side fuse boxes, they would corrode.
Its good you cleaned the ecu wires, I would do the same with all 4 fuses boxes throughout the car. I would also search ground points unbolt them and clean all of them or atleast inspect them.
