I definitely think the looks will grow on us. Also I think Lexus is still working on the HP numbers for the V8. They still have probably months to come up with the final specs. The dash is too narrow...unclassy look. I was kind of disappointed and this is supposedly the new Lexus styling direction. Looking at the products from MB and Audi, I think Lexus should rethink and go back to the drawing board.

Should be interesting to get all the details from the press packs that they are handing out.. Someone in Detroit please share all the info!!

Meh, I expected something a bit more radical or a departure from Toyota. Oh wells, I'm glad I didn't wait for it and got my '03 430 last year. But I'm guessing the new GS is gonna be one of those styles that I may not necessarily like right now, but will have to grow on me. Like I hated the way the 996 Porsche 911 looked when it first came out, I was like WTF? Now, I regard it as one of the most beautiful cars in in the world...heh heh...but I know that won't happen with the 3G GS...but I'll probably grow to like it more as I see them on the road...

too freaking similar, makes our 2nd gen GS all the more wonderful. I was thinking of trading a GS4 for a new GS3, but it is not worth it, just for AWD. Now back to getting rims for my current car. I like new, AWD, but it is definitely a disappointing Maxima. I would HATE someone telling me, hey, you got a new max, or looks just like a max, and having to justify and entertain every such conversation.

Well, it was nice watching the video, now it's time for some shut eye. I have school tomorrow at 9am. Later all, don't bash the car too much. lol

I have a '99 GS fully modded show car and I must say that I really really LOVE the new design. Classy, meaty, and powerful looking. Great interior. I won't be buying one but I do like the look @ the fact that its a 2006 b/c that keeps my current GS new for a while longer yet.
Does look like a Maxima but its even better looking. Imagine this with some 3-pice 20" wheel staggered with 10" wide in the rear. WOW!
Classy and hot!!
Engine should be better though.
I am convinced they design this with the intent that a lot of 45 and 55 yrs old will drive and they don't want it too powerful or aggressive looking.
