The Design does look good, its just that we are so use to seeing new Maximas/Altimas
I think the car looks great, dropped with rims, it looks FABULOUS, just like 1st and 2nd gens and ANY CAR for the matter. Any car with bigger wheels and a drop looks better than stock.
I think the rear lights mimic the 1st generations. Now with LEDs though.

Out of curiosity and boredom since I am sitting on my A@@ in court, I checked a few other forums on their opinion of the new GS.
Of course SICK-the Pursuer of Lexus Justice has visited a few of them already!

TO EVERYONE THAT IS COMPLAINING, WHEN HAS LEXUS EVER BEEN KNOW FOR THEIR STYLING OR PERFORMANCE? Exactly!!! I think Lexus is evolving but at the same time, will not risk what they have been known for; refinement & luxury. For everyone that wants more horsepower, buy a supercharger or something else. For individuals like myself, I like the GS just like it is. I don't race in my 53,000 luxury sports car. I do that with a S2000 or other little hot rod cars.

It's starting to grow on me, it is looking nicer and nicer everytime I see it . I wonder what it looks like in black or gold. What I really like is the interior and the new tranmission...a six speed sequential!
Like it was said previously, it is nicely lowered on the wheels so the gap is acceptable from the factory. In regards to the rear, the only thing that reminds me of the Maxima is the way the bottom of the trunk is "cut" along the bumper. Aside from that, it is unique.
BTW, does anyone have a link to a thread in the old CL forum so we can see the comments of the 2nd gen GS when it first came out? It would be interesting to see how many people hated the 2nd gen when it first came out.
