Also 99% of GS buyers don't touch em, they leave em stock. Why? Because from 40-55k, there is no better buy for the money if you want a sports sedan. 99% of GS owners don't buy a GS for performance, it is for quality, ride, quiet, features, the Lexus Panache, repeat buyers etc. I think this new GS clearly will please that 99%.

Only nutties like us are even seeing new pics of the GS. A few will see at the auto show later this week. So will the new GS please us 1%? I think so. That is what the aftermarket is for.

Default Watch out

this is to the non believers, i don't think you can please everyone. people are pissed it looks crappy, people are pissed its made into maxijunk, people are pissed its not the lf-s, oh and where is the 500hp. people give me a break, its going to be a excellent car, its going to be sooo sweet seeing them in person for the first time, the engine will be more tuned no doubt. run better than any car close to the hp numbers/weight/size. Its a lexus, don't sell out to the junk, i personally think nissan crowded the scene with crap. Get mad all ya want it doesn't fly to mars and takes nice pics and get groceries on the way back. I would be smiling if i could get one when they first come out...well i hope i can. Its just like the first big things in your life...its built up and never satisfied....

I love it.

Does anyone know if it will appear at the LA Auto Show going on now?

I hafta say the inline 6 is NOWHERE NEAR as smooth or quiet as the V8.

What's Edmunds' Take?

The new shape is a definite step up from the current version, but the real test will be in the way it drives. If it can deliver some measure of driving excitement to go along with its luxurious interior and extensive safety equipment, it will have a much better chance of competing with the European sedans that dominate the category. — Ed Hellwig

At least edmunds.com likes it.

Some good side by sides of the Max and GS.....Crap....But the interiors are 2 different worlds..
Sickey, I can't see the picture because I have to be a member.
I like the style of the new GS and we still a year before it's launch. I'm sure there will be some change. I think they keep small displacement at 3.3 and 4.3 for the Hybrid version. Plus, Denny Clemons never mention about the HP on the 4.3L V-8. The video was 70% about the RX and 30% on the GS or 65/35. So, something still up it the air on the GS and it will need sometime to finish it up.
Hmmm, Hybrid V-8 with a loaded of TQ and AWD( 4 electric motors on each wheel).

68% of people don't like the new look. Can't blame them. Seems to me like another 5 design controversy. Sales of the new 5 are not what BMW hoped, at least in the U.S. I don't think the GS will break any records either. Still can't believe that Maxima look.

Let's face it, this was the official launch of the car. I think we did see the final product exterior wise without question, but the V8 could change when the LS is due out. But what has been designed on the outside is golden. It would be embarassing to claim this is the new GS and then change it on ppl when the launch date gets near. No company has done that. And shouldn't.

18s. Which means those that go big can slap 21s on there. (+3 sizing)
