hmmm, for some reason i dont believe what they say.... when did they get this info? and the car is still a year away.... but then again introducing two new engines into the lineup would be kinda odd.... a new car with 2 new engines (retuned counts as an engine)

but they did say "More distinctive than ever, the new GS from Lexus should have a much better chance of competing with its European peers"

One little yet interesting detail I just realized is the mirrors.. I was expecting blinkers on them for some reason, interesting that they didnt use them on this car yet the new scion tc comes with it

I actually would like to see the M45 and the new GS chopped side by side to see what they both would look like if modded. Is that possible guys. As I stated before I have to see this car in person before making a choice on this.

well it says the V6 will "offer, optional all wheel drive" maybe the 430 will be standard all wheel drive. that might be pretty cool. i love the 6 speed auto tranny idea. thats really neat.

well its pretty much all speculation right now anyway from everyones standpoint. we have until what early/mid 2005 before anything comes out anyway. once again that is from what everyone else is saying. we don't know what lexus's intensions really are yet. do we?

I have to admit that the new design is growing on me. There are a few minor things about it that I particularly like. First, it's nice to see what looks like an in-dash CD changer like the IS. I was hoping that they would add that when they refreshed the 2nd generation in 2001 but they didn't. Second, it's nice to see radio controls in the steering wheel. I couldn't believe that it was only available on the GS430 (and not the GS300) in the 2nd generation especially when Hondas and other non-luxury cars have had radio controls in the steering wheel for over a decade. I hope that this car will have built in Bluetooth for cell phones with Bluetooth so we don't have to get a custom kit installed.

One thing about the exterior that I like is that the front side markers are integrated with the front headlights and rear side markers are integrated with the rear taillights. The first generation GS had the front side markers integrated with the headlights but not the rear. The 2nd generation GS had the rear side markers integrated with the taillights but not the front. I think it looks much cleaner having them both integrated. I know this is a minor detail but I like it.
