Default Video of GS in motion. Picture of rear seat also

View the streaming video and it shows the new GS in motion. Also near the end it shows the rear seats but not the rear leg room.

DAMN! you see how that car looks from head on.... sweet car indeed.... they also said "the 2 inch longer wheelbase allows for more room for passengers"... saying this while the cam is on the back seat.... maybe more leg room?!?

Default 2006 GS evolutionary?

I was driving on the freeway the other day and a 1st Gen GS drive by me. And then it hit me, the 2006 GS looks just like the first Gen. At least from the back the tail lights look similar, and the front looks the same if the 1st Gen. had the extra daytime lights in the middle. Thoughts?

Default The New GS430

I just got back from AmericasMart (Apparel Mart) in atlanta I was invited to a research study and it was the comparison of the following cars:

MB E500 (I didn't know that this car comes with 7 speed automatic transmission)
BMW 545i
Jaguar 4.2 Type S
and the New Lexus GS430

The car was not a complete production model it was a prototype hand built. The questions were on the exterior and interior styling and comfort etc. I gave them the answers that everyone over here would have wanted to.

The stats listed for the GS430 were 300 HP, 325 lb of Torque, 18 inch standard wheels, RWD and 0-60 in 5.6 seconds.

At the end they had me pick out which colors I like and configure a car. Base price was 51,000 and some odd dollars. AWD was listed as a roughly 2000 dollar option. So, we might see an AWD V8 Lexus. Other things listed were auto sensing wipers, Pre collision system, parking assist, mark levinson, GPS, XM radio, moon roof, spoiler, run flat tires, remote trunk release and close, rear shades etc.

Things I listed that should be changed were as follows:

More HP, need more aggressive wheels with a lip, Remove the cherry wood and give it all aluminum finish or reomve the aluminum and give it all wood with better color scheme. It should be available with AWD and 6 Speed manual transmission and the front grille needs to be more bold something like the MB grille or even better. In addition I asked that side chrome bar thing to be removed......

It was fun to check out the car. I ranked E500 (First) Lexus GS430 (Second) Bmw 545i (third) and Jagura (dead last)

the rear leg room space seemed more then the current model, foot space was more, seats were more comfortable, no wood on the rear armrest, if i recall correctly there were over head vents on both side right by where the lights in the current model are....and the vents bethind the center console.

well they refered to it as a hand built non-production model and a prototype. So I think they still might change a few litle things about it.

Oh by the way in comments I quoted "please visit clublexus.com for input from current lexus owners"
