How does that 6.8 0-60 time compare to the current GS300?
I think most of the competition will be around or below that figure.

WOW look at the contours of the drivers seat. Just beautiful. I do wish they had at least 1 or 2 more interior color choices and wood to go with it. But it seems that the blackwood is now a standard wood color, instead of the sportsdesign color. Does anyone notice anything diferrent with the interior? Also what is that Steering Sensitive Clearance Sonar. I would guess something like BMW's Active Steering, but the word Clearance is throwing me off. What is it clearing, or am I just misunderstanding this? 14 speakers wow, where are they gonna go? I also noticed on the exterior shot, it looks like the 17in rims from the second gen are making its way over onto the 3rd gen. I could be wrong but thats what it looks like to me.

Anyone notice that they did away with the zebra wood grain from the prototype? That is good.

I'm feeling the Flint Mica with charcoal / black wood combo. Nice tint with 20's with a moderate drop and you have a winner in my eyes.

Finally, we're able to view the GS in all of it's colors instead of just silver. They look great!
MAN!, I can't wait to see these on the road! It's gonna snap a lot of necks.

The 'red wood' in the above pic looks like the prototype. 'brown wood' might be better though. I guess if the best description they can come up with is just a color then it's not walnut!

I really like the charcoal with black wood interior... my guess is that this will be a fairly popular choice

(although with only 3 interior choices, how unpopular can one choice be??)

I think that 6.3s for both the M35 and RL are a bit optimistic and the STS should be considered with a V6 for an apples-apples comparison. Also, by the time the GS gets tested in the real world both the 530 and the E class will get a bump in power. A full sec drop for the GS will finally get into the respectable range.

The time for the M35 is optimistic as all hell. Sorry that I didnt clearly explain that, but Im guessing that the M35 will have about 280-290hp. So i figured that it would run comparable times with the RL. The RL on the other hand were 2 times averaged out from C/D and Motortrend magazine. 6.4 and 6.2 respectively. I gave the STS V8 time because it seems that no one tested the 6cylinder yet. Automobile mag tested the V8 and gave it a time of 6.9 sec. I thought that it would be interesting to put that time up considering that it has over 300hp. And yes, the times for the E-class and BMW will be considerably less, but look at the A6 times. This is the new body style with the 255hp engine. Weight I guess. You never know, maybe the times with the new engines wont be that impressive. Lastly, in regualr driving, all of these times are give or take. But, its just good to konw that the GS300 wont get blown away like it used to. I dont think a few 10ths of a second matter to a majority of people. If it does, then there is always the GS430, which is more than a second faster.

ill take a Quartz Shadow or Flint Mica with Black Interior. Nice tint, and some new rims and lowered a bit should do it for me. ( I'm gonna miss the Black Cherry Pearl, my favorite color. Its so nice they offer it on the Scion Tc. Can u believe that.)

Lexus always seems to have the most vibrant paint colors too. I remember my dad comparing my GX's Blue Meridian Pearl to a similar blue on his SL55. He was really wow'd by it.
