Hi Chickpig, prices in Singapore are S$169,888 and S$183,888. There's an additional discount of S$2,888 for existing Lexus owner. For the Super Luxury model, Back Monitor is the back camera for reverse parking and the sonar is the normal back sensor.

For you or anyone else that has seen the instrument panel in person, Is the electrolumincent color blueish or bright white? I love the way that looks, the one thing that I love about my SC400 is the white electrolumincent display.

i cant wait to see it in person at the LA auto show, i want to see the gauges lite up, i love that color set up

edit: i just checked the LA auto show site, they didnt mention the GS, it mentions the LS-F, but i think it might be a typo for the LF-S

Bright white. There is a hit of bias to blue, just like the current optitron guage colors i.e. LS, ES, RX etc.

Does anyone know when the GS will be available in the US? I called a dealer this morning, and she said June at the earliest. They don't even have a wait list.

When the V8 model gets a bump to at least 350 hp and AWD is an option, I'll be thinking about getting rid of my '99 GS4. Until then, this looks like a new coat of frosting on an old cake.

Don't mean to rain on everyone's parade who is all excited about the new GS, but I think keeping the same V8 and offering AWD only on the V6 model is along way from groundbreaking.......................

Did you notice that on some of the pics the steering wheel is all leather and most other pics there is part leather part wood. Would this be a specific option or included on the V8 model. I plan to get a V8.

I've also never had a steering wheel that is part wood. Is this just a matter of personal preference, do most really prefer the wood/leather steering wheel? Just curious.

I'm pretty sure it'll be an option like it is today. I have the wood-and-leather wheel on my '01 GS430 and have really enjoyed it. I think it finishes the look of the interior, and it feels great in your hands, too. Unfortunately none of the cars I'm looking at now as a GS replacement have such an option, but they make up for that in many other ways...

Does anyone know what that is on the outside REAR door handle, it almost looks like a "key" hole, I see the same marking on the front door handle also. Is this a chip that registars the new remote?

Yes that is if you have children or something to put into the rear door it works the same way when you have the key fob in your pocket you touch the handle and it will unlock/open. I am a little baffled why lexus did not hide that liek others.

Thats right....from his sources, they will showcase the flint Mica (graphite pearl)..first time any of us will see this color at an autoshow or on any display. (apart from the pic of one going around the track)

This is not a 100% set, but he told me that more than likely his source is correct. They plan on showing the Flint Mica with light gray interior with the black wood.

does the gs300 have the same 2jzge engine? 245 hp only?
man, they shud hv upgraded the engine a little bit better.........at least compare hpwise
to a m3 or m5 at least.
personally, i dont like the rear end. it looks like a nissan from the back........just my 02 though.
