Didn't I read in one of these threads that the 18s are only going to be a factory option on the 430, the same way that the 17s are only a factory option on the current 430. That really annoyed me when I got my first GS300 which was a 1999. I had to buy the 17s on my own.

What are the rims on the GS430? 18s? I want the rims that are on the GS430 on a GS300.

Is that going to be possible. Even as an option? Or not going to be available at all? Meaning the GS300 will only come with those "many spoked" rims and its not possible to replace it with the GS430 ones?

plz tell me i can take off those rims that are on the GS300 and replace it with the ones on the GS430.

plz plz plz tell me i can do that.

I dont really like the ones on the GS300. i LOVE the ones on the GS430

they might not make the 18s as an option for the gs300. just like if you get a gs300 now, you can't get the 17s as well (correct me)

Remember, Lexus is world reknown for their ride. We do plus size wheels at will but for a company, to add a larger wheels means testing the car again. One of the benefits of cars getting larger is you can have larger wheels with the same size sidewall.
For instance the old GS wheel was a 245/45/17 (45 and lower is low profile)
The new GS wheel is (I think) 245/55/17

Lexus is still conservative. The big LS 430 just got an 18" option last year.
To add 17s to the GS 400 was a industry low $215 upgrade. It was a no brainer. You could not add to the GS 300 at this price.
Not sure how Lexus will sell the 18s or put them on GS 300s.

yeah that's why i was kinda surprised that they have the 18s as standard for the sc430. but i think it's a god move, except the stupid look of the wheels

The GS300 in Australia came with 17" wheels. But I think that's mainly due to the absents of the GS430 here, which will change when the new GS is released here.

Is it just me, or do those 17" wheels look very similar to those from a 2003 IS 300 SportDesign (sorry, I couldn't find a pic).

Come to think of it, they remind me of the Aston Martin's DB9 wheels.

LMAO. If the GS wheels fit its body as well as those on the DB9 do I think more people would be excited about the GS.

Haha nah, I was talking about the style of the wheels The DB9's wheels wouldn't suit the look of the GS anyway I think.

I don't particularly like those wheels on the DB9 neither Otherwise it's a really beautiful car
