Default question about TPMS for 06GS

does anyone know if the new 06 tire pressure monitor sensor will show the psi of each individual tire like the new RL or will it just alert you when there is a drop in psi?

Yes,.....Lexus does give you a indicator light on the dash...BUT....it sucks cause' it doesn't tell you which tire it is.

Unlike, Acura it shows you a picture on the dash with the exact tire that needs air!!!

so you get an alert, and you have to check every single tire? doesn't that sound counter intuitive

Yes, it is better then nothing, but not the best. It uses the wheel sensors and measures a difference in rotation between the wheels. Anyway, the system is a little useless if all of your tires loose pressure at about the same rate since it can't detect a difference in rotation speed. I've had slightly low pressure in a tire or two before and the TPMS on my 04 never detected it at all. I think it has to be really low and not just a few psi low before it knows what's going on.
