Getting a fully loaded GS for PREMIUM PKG PRICE!!!!!!!!!1
Guys..a long time back i told u that i bought an 05 solara from a toyota dealership brand new....turns out the guy that sold it to me knew a lexus associate...and it happens to be my dealer sales rep....small world isnt it?
Well....i talked to him and after 2 hours of discussion...he told me he is going to just throw in the mark levinson and nav at NO CHARGE.
Meaning that the original car i was going to have was a mercury metallic with ash interior and premium pkg....the price after all taxes and fees was a driveout price of $48,833.52. From negotiation and all he agreed to sell me the fully loaded car instead...(he was also getting a fully loaded mercury emtalic with ash interior)....and he said he would sell me that instead and the price i would pay would be the price of the initial one i paid for. So i basically got a 5K discount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now thats a lexus experience.....i had no idea or any intention of even getting a fully loaded car because i was trying to keep my budget at spending under 50K...and now i did..AND with a fully loaded car!!!!
THAT IS A TRUE CAR DEAL!!!

I was answering the poster who was wondering about the 430. I meant the price was awesome (for a 300) but not THATgood (that this can be a 430). It would have been an unbelievable price if it was a 430.
As for me, I am waiting for the production of the hybrid. The exterior is not nice enough for me to jump on it at this time. The specs of the car, though, is phenomenal. We'll see in a few years.

Marcpitch..lol even if it would taken me 4 hours to convince the guy.....it woud have been still worth it. If u talked to any dealer and spent 10 hours with him, they still would not give you even a 1000 dollars off the MSRP price my friend..
So i basically got a 5K off break on a vehicle that i dont think anyone will be able to get for at least 4-5 months. So you can laugh all u want with your clever remark, bro. A t the end of the day - for you to get a fully loaded GS300 RWD lieke mine..u would not be able to drive off the lot for less than 53K dollars. 48K and 53K is a lot of money. particularly if its on probably the hottest car to have hit the market which is going to be an 06 model =)

Akbergq, you should be ashamed of yourself. Are you blackmailing this sales guy or something? Come up with a better explanation. He would have a hard time buying a GS himself from his own dealership for 5,000 off. Hope you got it in writing. You're sure it's not an '05? I'm trying to give you an out here........

To a great extent, I share your enthusiasm for the new GS, though at 42 I keep try to keep my "freakin's" and "LOL's" to a bare minimum. I will most likely be getting a 300 or 430 around the middle to end of this year. As a result I NEED your constant review and analysis as you experience ownership. I would request this: Everything cannot be amazing, so please give us all a balanced critique. I want to know what you don't like too. Of course, if everything is amazing then share the joy....."BRO."
