Finally Checked it out!!
So finally after looking at picture and at the LA auto show, on the way back from work, i stopped at CROWN LEXUS in Ontario, CA. Now with respect to all who still think that the car looks like a Altima-Maxima whatever .I DONT THINK SO!
The salesman uh "boy" showed me 3. Two were white and the one inside was a dark gray (sorry dont know the official color names) This car is beautiful!!! It has personality and looks like a brute...I like my cars to be muscular and with some "meat" on them and yeah this definately does.
All were GS300 but with diffrent options and prices. Dark gray in the showroom was with premium wheels package option ONLY for around $48,000 next> another white with ML/NAV but stock rims for $49,000 and then the bone stock for $45,000. I sat in the dark gray with premium wheels and WOW this car very comforting and the fit and finish is just impeccable. If i was'nt in the market for a SUV (X5) then definately this LEX would be mine. The guy turned on the xenons and showed the engine bay (sweet!), keys, and other stuff around the car. Lovin this car!!!
later peeps!

Hay ROCKVILLE my budget for the SUV i may buy is $50K or under and GX470 is way too high.
And BMW is giving 4 yr/50k mile maintenece...somthing that LEXUS should think about. Any way
this GS is really messing with my head in changing my mind for buying a SUV

Try a GX W/O Nav if price is a problem... (The GX IS AMAZING!!! Personally, I love it) Check out my review here: Epinions Review for Yaro1
As for maintenance, maybe there is a reason BMW gives you maintenance; you will need it with the build quality . Trust me about BMW. Been there, done that, never again (7 series).

this in one time we agree
bvmw great ridegreat car. Lousy relaibility, I'm looking ofr a ne car as the vanos units on my 2000 528 are faiing (variabe valve actuation) car has only 28k miles, B W will fix for free, but what else fails? Do not trust the car anymone. Never left me on roadside . but not worth it anymore,.

Lexus Test Driver
BMW piling on...
We have a sister BMW store in Fairfax, Va. One of their techs bought an SC430 from me. He told me he has 7 series that sit in his stall all day long downloading new software so they will run again. There was a 7 series stuck in a parking garage downtown for about a month as the floor it was on didn't have the clearance for a tow truck. I think they eventually got a dolly and pushed it with good old manpower out of there and back to the dealership for some TLC. We have a local radio station ad that runs on TV that shows two pranksters that put a potato in a guy's Bimmer and hide behind a bush. The guy that owns it gets inside and when it doesn't start he starts fuming and pounding the steering wheel. Then it explodes and carnage is everywhere and the two guys look at each other quizzically....It is funny but in an age of car bombers probably over the top......
