After reading all your helpful postings for the last couple of month, I finally decided on the
GS430 over the BMW 545.
1. Model 430
2. RWD
3. Flint Mica
4. stock 18
5. Spoiler
6. Ash
However, after driving for 2 days, I discovered a rattling sound from the front left dash area. I tooked it in to Service and have not gotten it back yet. It's already been a week. Apparently the "dash pins" were defective and since the model is so new, they are having trouble getting parts. Does anyone know what that is? It really sucks that I've only driven the car for 2 out of the 8 days that I own the car.
At least it's a Lexus and they will take care of the problem eventually and I'll get my car back.

3. Moonroof, sunshade, vent seats, spoiler, rain sensing
4. MSRP $51.8K - I paid $47.6K
First mod....tint the windows.
First Lexus I will own (although I have a Toyota Sequoia for the family trucking mobile) - I am coming from an Audi A6. Pick the the car tomorrow. Add me to the list! Thanks.

I am coming from an Audi A6.
Just curious, what year was your outgoing A6 and did you consider a new A6? Although I love my GS300, sometimes I think I should have given a little thought to the A6. But I was so turned off on the A6's nose, and European cars because of quality (used to have 2 Mercedes), I never even looked at Audi.

Fully Loaded w/a nice trade-in for a $570/mo purchase with discount of $3k off MSRP plus 22400 trade-in. The GS4 was paid off
OEM chromes are on backorder and those were thrown in with the mud mats and clear bra for a purchase price of 35k even.
Did I get a good deal?

Just got one this past weekend. Been a lurker in your forums on debating to get this car or not but am sooo glad I did. Went to dealer to get GS300 but ened up with
GS430
Mercury metallic
fully load except adaptive cruise.
Looks just like the one on the post above so i won't bother posting a pic.
Love the smoothness and the quietness of the car so I don't if I want to turn on the ML or not.
I totaled my wife's SUV so this is actually her car, but I get to drive it once in a while
One thing I'm interested in getting is the clear bra, but aeroshield doesn't cover the whole hood. Does anyone know of a installer in LA that uses venture and covers the whole hood?
Also I just noticed yesterday when I was driving back home fr work, I was stopped a red light in bit of an upward slope and my parktronice started going off like crazy. it would beep to one bar and start over again and again until I starting moving again.
I'm not sure if it was because it was in a upward slope, and maybe sensor just projects horizontally and was sensing the asphalt but you would think lexus would taken that into consideration. Besides it was just the left corner that was going off.
Has anyone experience this?

Just got my GS300 RWD from Mission Viejo last week. After driving it around, I have to say that it feels a lot heavier than my old 03 SportDesign, but it's beefy nonetheless.
Cabin noise is so quiet, I got snuck up on by a fire engine TWICE.
Black on black, red maple interior, Mark Levinson/NAV unit sounds *much* better than 2nd gen, primarily because of the surround DSP included in the new Fujitsu units. Could the rear component speakers also have improved?
I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance, but the first mod I'm planning is to lower it and to put 20" Work Equips on them.

Do some more research. No one covers the whole hood. Good luck!
