Hey Y’all. I get ideas from this site all the time. I joined finally. I have a 2001 Lexus GS 430. It has almost 308k on it. I’ve never ever had like major problems. Once my radiator cracked. I didn’t know. I was a 30 year old women. Do I added the coolant & went along. Well it melted my condenser into something idk it was 1200$ then the battery did something alternator 200$ I’ve always got new tires bc it weighs 5000lbs with me in it & it ain’t like the new plastic cars. So I feel safe in rain I replaced the timing belt at 147k it has 308k now I know I need to do it again. My mechanic says I’m okay. I’ve had a serpentine belt replaced. Spark plugs for sure ! Oh and I’ve had three sets of engine mounts!!! Brakes. I figured out the transmission needs fluid ? Got that done. Had it checked. Didn’t throw any transmission codes. I’ve just never had any major engine problems or transmission issues or anything. I just think all them men in Japan was in a good mood when they made my car. Oh & my dad had my car then I bought it from him 12 years ago at 150k I’ll keep it forever no matter cost. My 2001 Lexus GS430 drives like new & it’s old so don’t laugh. It does 0-100 in 9 seconds right now. It’s old though hell like me.

We've got a 2006 GS350 JDM, RWD. It's matte black with black interior, the faux wood is a deep maroon colour. It's on 225/45R18 Zeit BIM rims. No spoiler.

We just brought it in from Japan and I am looking to find others who know about North America parts.

Hey y'all... I'm Foot. i recently purchased my GS300 "Lo-Retta" about 2 months ago. The guy who sold her to me mentioned some tranny issues and some evap problems.I got her for a REALLY sweet price.This is my first Lexus and I fell in love.She's black-on-black. Awesome body.Great interior 'cept for the driver's seat. Everything works great...EXCEPT THAT #0(%!^@ TRANSMISSION!!!
Now, in her defence, she's got 205Kmiles on the ODO.I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I'm an electronics guy by trade.I just got techstream and a MVCI cable. I plan on a long relationship

Got rid of my money pit 08 BMW 750 and got an 07 GS350 AWD. Would have preferred a few years newer but the GS previously belonged to a friend and I knew it was in perfect mechanical condition. It's Mercury metallic with black interior. I love the red wood trim. It's got 17's and that's going to change. I've seen some of the pics of wheels you guys have put on and they make an incredible difference. I think I have most of the options. Mark Levinson, spoiler, rear shade, park assist, nav, and a couple other things I can't remember. Have the window sticker and it was just under $53000. The days of that price are gone. I've been reading a lot of the threads and fortunately my car has none of the problems that seem common in the GS even with 100k miles. My car inspector has two Lexus' and said mine should last another 150k. For a 15 year old car it seems as solid as a nearly new car. Looked at LS's as well but they all had that melting interior problem. Anyway I'm glad to be here and still have plenty of threads to read.

Hey all! New here 😁Picked up this gorgeous 2010 GS 460 a few weeks ago in Edmonton Alberta Canada. Crazy low KM/Miles. So super clean its amazing. My crazy awesome husband found it for me and I couldnt be anymore happier or luckier! Super proud to be a Lexus owner now. I'm in LOVE with my car. Have never felt like this towards a car before hahaha Its freaking the best thing ever!!

Thanks. Honestly I’m kind of unsure but think it’s Obsidian. According to the title it’s Black Opal Mica, but the paint code on the car is for Obsidian. I just polished and waxed it as well as defogging the headlights so it looks better than it did.

IIRC Black Obsidian was a 2007 GS450h color. Black Opal was a 2008-2011 (for 3GS) GS450h only color. Not available on the GS450/GS350.

So considering how few 2008 (721) GSh and 2009-2011 even less GSh it becomes a VERY rare car with that color.
