Before driving from Virginia to Connecticut I filled up the tank and set the ECT to Normal. I attemped to keep the speed at 80-85 I think I avg lower than that what with traffic and all.

The MPG hovered at 25mpg according to the trip system. I'm gonna check it when I fill up, but that's amazing mileage for the speeds we traveled and a V8.

The 6 speed transmission is no doubt responsible for much of this. The vehicle is so smooth and can lull along at a very low RPM's it's no wonder it is so fuel efficient.

Also, didn't they add an electric steering and brake pump too? If that's true, it is less work for the engine!

 

Look now, Is there any snow left in Connecticut? Try out the VDIM and you will not believe how effective it is. Great report on the mileage. Tell us more about your trip how you and the GS did.

 

There is roughly 8 inches of snow on the ground but none on the road. We expect some snow activity this week so I'm hoping to take it out in the next snow storm.

I'm definitely going to try to right a detailed review when I have some time and I'm not interupted.

 

BTW, I've outlined all the areas I could think of and the comments, I just need to put it into a story.

 

I have over 1000 miles on my 2006GS300. Average mileage is 22-24 MPG. Mostly city driving.
This top and go traffic is really killing me.

 

That is great gas mileage. Even for the GS300^^^^. The old one got 18/19 in the city
