No setup needed just change your view. There is a button on the lower left just above the Zoom In button (spyglass with +) that will allow you to access the different views. When sitting still there are only 3 views available. Full Screen, Two View (which I like) and GPS View with a Compass and GPS positioning.

However, when on an Interstate there are now 6 different views. Each of the next 3 views show up in the second window much like the standard two view window. The primary map is still on the screen as well as a small icon in the top left showing the direction of the next turn and how many miles to the next exit or turn.

The 4th view is a Route Overview. The next shows a large display of your next exit and how many miles to that exit. The third shows all exits from closest to farthest (I didn't check to see how far ahead it looks) with the miles to each exit and how long it will take to get there. It shows three exits at a time but you can scroll through the list. If you pick an exit the POI Icons for that exit will show up in a bar at the top of the window.

Default Excellent review and explanation

When you are under route guidance the onscreen Map button options increase just as HighMiles described. These are hidden features and most people never find them. Thank you for bringing these to light. The crosswind effect is another GS430 perk. It is not polite to litter so dispose of that map in the proper receptacle. LOL. Try out a DVD movie next and check out the Surround Sound. You must have the parking brake engaged unless you have some override performed. The screen can display three ways. You lose a little on the edges in Wide mode but the whole screen is filled with the image with sort of a zoom in effect. It's fun to play with. Enjoy your new GS as much as the previous ones..

My local dealer does all my service and I see them about once every 30-45 days for my 5,000 mile services. I picked my new car up on Monday 2/28 and as I mentioned stayed in the office all week. I brought my new car in to put the XM Antenna in it on Friday evening and the Service Guy told everyone that I was in for my first 5,000 mile service. As you can imagine there was quite a crowd when I showed up and they really looked puzzled when I told them that I was in town all week. They must have been imagining that I was driving in circles 24/7 until the Service Guy let us all in on the joke.
Wow you really got your money's worth on that car
