Default Lexus of Tulsa GS Event

Here are some photos from our local GS event held last night. The Lexus of Tulsa rented the fanciest hotel in town and went all out for this event. They sent out over 7,000 invitations and had over 600 RSVP.

They had a 1st Gen GS with 155,000 miles on it there are well as my 98 GS400 which has 317,000. My wife and I sat at a table near my car and just watched everone's reaction when they saw the mileage. It was a very fun night. I got two offers for my car while at the show and several others asking about it. It was also fun pulling up to the Valet Parking with my new GS.

This first photo is of a GS in the center gazebo in the circle drive in front of the hotel.

They would show the GS Commercials throughout the event.

The guys at Lexus of Tulsa did an incredible job getting the car ready for the show. They had the front end repainted to cover up the pits. They also had my leather refurbished as well. The car looked great and it was quite a hit.

Here is the plaque they put on my car showing the 317,784 miles on it. The great guys at Lexus of Tulsa have done all of my service and while I see them on a regular basis (every 30-45 days for my 5,000 services) they have never let me down and I have NEVER had a major problem with my GS. It still drives and rides like it did when I picked it up in January of 1998.

If you are ever passing through Tulsa and want to visit a class act, stop by Lexus of Tulsa. If you are ever near Tulsa and need service see Ted Dollar and his staff for exceptional service. I have been a loyal Lexus of Tulsa customer since my 92 ES (with 184K miles that I traded in on my 98 GS) and can't imagine anyone giving me better service.

That is astounding mileage. At the rate i'm at, I should be at the 300k mark around the same time span with the driving I do here in SoCal everyday.

Great event! Looks like a lot of fun....was this the first event of this type that they have ever done?

*wishes Honda/Acura would try something like this*

This was the first event like this that Lexus of Tulsa has had anywhere other than their showroom. The event was such a success that the Sale Manager told me yesterday that they plan to do more events just like this when new models like the new IS are released.

I think this type of event is a plus. It draws excitement to the new product and it shows the consumers the manufacturer/dealer really cares about what's to come.

Hey man,

I had tickets to the event and completely forgot about it. Sorry I missed it.
