Default 06 Window Tinting

Any 06 owner do tinting yet? I'm thinking of tinting my blk on cashmere with some tint and looking for opinions. Also, any caveats I should be aware of regarding Nav and tinting.

One question I was always courious about... if appliedwrong to the rear window, can it be removed without damaginf the antenna?

if don't right i dont' see what problem you will have with tint on the car. i haev tint on all my cars.

and for the rear window, a good shop will know how to take off the tint without damaging the antenna, and most important the defrozer

I just tinted on Monday. It makes such a difference. I bought 3m tint including the windshield.
I took some quick pics so they don't do it justice. I highly recommend getting 3m tint.
I will be posting some better pics next when the car is cleaned up.

Very dramatic change! It looks great. How about some shots out in the sun?

Sorry to go into a tangent but those 3 pics really epitomizes my current feelings on the new GS. I've really learned to appreciate the front. The first angle, then, is just hot. Side view is so-so and I'm still having a hard time with the rear. So the pics go from + to neutral to -. We'll see how I feel in a few years when the line up has what I want.

As for tinting, I don't think there is any special care in terms of the 3GS vs the 2GS. Go for it.

One caveat about tint on Lexus you need to be aware of if you have Navigation... do not get 'metallic' tint. Folks with many different models (including 2nd gen GS) have learned the hard way and had to rip the metallic tint off and replace it because it causes either a very week satellite signal or total loss of satellite with Nav.

outside tint shop gets my vote. the dealer outsourced the tinting to other places anyway, and they charge you more. so why

Paid 240.00 complete.

Nice, now that I'm starting to see some of you guys starting to mod your 3GS's, I have to say that the ice is starting to melt and I am starting to finally warm to the 3GS.

That looks sharp but don't you worry about the CHP to pull you over for a fix ticket?

I have had tint for years. I have had the lightest shades and still got tickets and medium with never any problems. It just depends on the city and the officer.

I figured this time I would go as dark as I could get for the video screens.

I'll post if I get a ticket.
