The previous GEN GS had that high spoiler and was more noticeable, so overtime I thought about removing it. The current GEN's GS witht he smaller, lower profile lip is just right and is integrated nicely to the rear of this vehicle.

I had the spoiler added to my GS300 at the port. I think that it should be a standard feature. The car looks good without it - but with it it just adds so much to the lines of the car and the aggressiveness of the look. I'm amazed at how such a small piece can make such a big difference in the look.

The only picture that I could find in the GS brochure that didn't have the spoiler was the picture of the crash test. It is no accident that most of the Lexus released pictures include the spoiler - it just makes the car look even that much better. (IMHO).

Its surprising noone has done a photochop with a gen 2 spoiler...

I thought it was double sided tape, origianlly. We ordered one and the parts manager informed me after it came in that it needs holes drilled to install. I am waiting to hit 1k and bring in to check up and install. Should be this week.

My dealer told me it was a drill operation - but I was skeptical after hearing CL members say it was attached with tape. Thanks for the clarification. I guess there is no going back if you decide to add it.

The lip spoiler completes the car IMO. The GS430's all have 'em. The loaded GS300 AWD come with 'em too in our region. Car looks good with 18's too but they are much more expensive to add.

Please do it, it will look awsome. In addition, do a roof spoiler, due to the design of the NEW GS (more sporty looking), a roof spoiler will really add the apprearance/value to the car

Ok well heres the update.....dealer quoted me $1000 (thats just plain BULL*****) so the nice lady at the dealership gave me the direct number to the "guy" who does the installs...Well he quoted me $325 installed!!!!!

I just need to set an appointment with him by taking some time out of my very busy schedule.....so i guess YAYS have it or well had it

I have the factory wing spoiler on my 2GS and I wasnt sure about the lip spoiler so thanks again guys for making my decision easier.

---now its just a matter of time....i'll post pix.

06 they were options, quite a few came without. now pretty much all of them come with it

do it. You have to have the spoiler. I dont think I have ever seen one without a spoiler
