What kind of messages are you referring to?
The one that shows up when you turn on the car?
Or the NAVI functions? (which are many)
Or are you referring to voice commands?

You'll receive messages like this
- Key Not Detected - if the key is not close to the vehicle and it is running
- Shift to P ~ - If one of the doors is ajar and you are in gear.
- Anything linked to the ! indicator. Basically Lexus has added a ! indicator in the instrument panel. When you see that illuminated, look at this display and you'll see a message of the exact problem. I.e., ABS, VGRS issue, etc.
- Also, and not mentioned here yet is the current MPG which has a bar graph.

Also this is where all the Cruise Control feedback is found. If you have Radar Cruise you will see your Cruise Control Speed and a car icon. When you approach another car an icon for the approaching car will show up in front of your car icon. The proximity to the cars in front is adjusted via a paddle on the steering wheel. This proximity is also reflected on the Cruise Control screen as lines above your car icon. If automatic braking is required a BRAKE indicator will also show up.
