I visited my dealer today and I'm leaning towards the black on black colors. Second choice would be silver with black interior. I'm concerned with the black being too hard to keep clean and scratch free, which is why I'm hesitating.

I've confirmed the spare tire is an option, even with the run flat tires.

I am sure you cant wait for your GS. As far as the colors go, my 2GS is black w/tan interior-Great color but yes you really have to take car of it. When it is clean and waxed it looks very "executive". But a little wind w/sand and dirt and a hard hand during wash and you definately see the swirls and marks. I bought my 3GS with mercury mettalic and black interior. Simply gorgeous (if i do say so for myself) now the issue is keeping up with the black interior..... (always keep a rag in the car)

I didn't get a spare with my GS300 AWD but I plan to buy one. I won't replace the tires with run flats if I can't get but 20k miles out of them.

Why adding full size spare when you have runflats?

I would only add a full size spare when my runflats wear out and I replace them with non-runflats.

I was thinking a donut tire for my spare. Will the spare tire well on the GS300/430 fit a full size spare? I was planning on ordering a donut spare from the dealer when I purchase the car, but maybe I should just buy an aftermarket full size spare, if it fits.

I'm no longer thinking about buying a GS300 AWD. I bought one this morning. I traded-in both of my Mercedes' for the GS.

Color is mercury metallic with black interior, DVD Nav package, standard wheels, and spare tire option.

Congratulations Dave! Did you buy the one you were test driving over the week-end?

Thanks bigzip. No, I didn't buy the one I test drove. It didn't have the NAV system. I ordered the car and was told it will take 3 weeks or less to arrive.
