If you are serious about paying $10K more for less sluggishness and better steering, how about going for the GS430? That will take care of the sluggishness, but the steering feel will not be much better if at all.
actually, since GS430 has VGRS, steering ratio can be tightened up to 2.8, which is pretty nice actually. Problem will always be the lighter steering than in Bavarian competition, and that will always be the case since it is an Lexus! You can get used to it...
