I could have sworn I saw that car in person this past Saturday:

Hehe if you look a few posts up, it's riding on modified factory springs and HKS Hiper Carbon Ti exhausts. And the sound of the exhausts is awesome. It has a distinct growl like the M45 and G35 if you will.

Thanks Neo and Flip. I though the picture was take place in Japan or something because the car in the pic is lower.ed. I was like how the heck he got his car lowered.

Saying that the GS is SO good that the M is not even competition is just Lexus snobbery IMO, much like how some BMW and Benz owners won't even give Lexus and other Japanese cars the time of day simply because they're not German.
If you do a search, the most talked about car in this sub-forum (other than the GS of course) is the M, probably more than the 5, E, A6, STS, and the RL combined. That is some indication that the M clearly IS competition.

Did you hear it? Yeah, that whooshing sound - like a toilet flushing. It's the sound of this thread warping into a vortex and going down the drain. Kinda like the Tidy Bowl man used to do on TV.

I just read the latest Road and Track comparo of the M45, 545 and GS430. The M45 won and the GS came in last. The writer was gracious enough by saying the Lexus could have easily won if judged by driving comfort and isolation.....the characteristics mostly associated with owners of Lexus cars. Since they were looking for speed and handling along with comfort, the GS was last. Most interesting is the M45 beat the bimmer. These journalist usually choose bimmers regardless of the age of the car and the other makes compared. This about the third comparo I've seen where the M45 came out ahead of the GS. I think it;s time we give it some props around here. Yes, we love our Lexus cars, that doesn't mean we go blind and crazy.
