Can you program the Inbound phone setting to "ring", or selct another type of audio alert when receiving a call? As an inbound call is received my audio mutes, and the phone number displays. I did not see any instructions for changing this option in my manual.

 

On both my previous RX and now the new GS, my inbound calls ring thru with whatever ring tone is set in my phone (Nokia).

But it's not always immediate. Sometimes there is a delay...the radio mutes, the incoming screen shows, and then I hear the ring tone come thru the speaker. But it always eventually does ring.

 

i have the same thing as winsalem - there is a short delay, but then the audio plays the ringtone from my nokia phone.

i think there were some other posts about this; in the end i think the conclusion was that it depends on your phone model.

 

Phone model is key...sadly, some phones link up bluetooth but the ring strangely doesn't appear.

 

This is a bit off topic but is there somethign I have to do to have the phone number appear on the screen? I do have my phone book sync with the car but when I get a call, it only displays "incoming call" - even from callers from the sync'd phone book.

That's right, I believe my Pocket PC phone did not ring.
