VDIM Turned off?
Check out this artical that ran In the Arizona Republic on Monday 5/30. Says "drivers who were unable to maintain control on the slippery course when the VDIM was turned off ...."
...Here's the link to artical "New Safety Sysytems Help Stop, Minimize Car Wrecks"

You can turn it off as long as you go less than 32MPH. Over that speed it turns back on.
Why did they choose that speed? I asked the dealer. It's because when cars are smog tested they are run on a stationary testing machine at 30MPH. If you couldn't turn off VIDM the system would kick in if it saw the back wheels spinning while the front were staying still.

If this is true than how will they dyno the car when the time comes for all the mods

I think it would be cool to have a VDIM-off switch. OK, OK, there can be a 'Caution' screen where 'I Agree' needs to be pressed, still it'd be *fun* to have the driver/human obtain FULL control, even if it is less accurate.

I've been thinking about how we could turn it off and the only thing I could come up with is maybe there's a fuse that has to be pulled.. I haven't asked my tech guy at Lexus but I will before this weekend. Hopefully he'll know something..

U can't turn VDIM off. He has to be talking about the Traction Control.

But
You can't turn it off, no one can except for Lexus. They made a few Gs430s that can switch off the VDIM to show the testers how helpful and what a difference this safety system makes.

Why turn it off?
With the exception of a few lateral slides, why turn off VDIM? It helps the car handle better than any professional driver ever could.
They day you can all manually control the individually 4 brake calipers yourself... that's the day I say we should have a switch to turn off the VDIM.
