I hope all the main bugs were worked out of the software but I doubt it.
I hear you man...the E55 vs GS430 (no offense, it's kinda weird how they ended up in the same consideration. One is so much more expensive and a different car all together) The 7er, well who knows what will break down but I expect it. The E55 does not handle as good as it should with all that power, but Power is 2nd to none right now. Guys are hitting mid to low 12s stock in the E55.

i was wondering if such a modification was made and the car was taken to the dealership for an oil change or something if the warning sign doesnt come up do you think the employees at the dealership inquire why the warning sign does not come up therfore voiding the warrenty?
just a hypotheical situation that i was considering before i did this mod..

No sir. Nothing as of yet that i have seen by-passes that annoying message.
For those who did not know , this fix/by-pass can be done while the car is in motion
E55, hope you enjoy your new car. I almost stopped at a BMW dealer the other day, I's also considering the BMW7 Dont get me wrong, Love my gen3 430 but its hard to get two sets of golf clubs in the trunk.

Thanks! We picked up our 750i this past Monday. While it's not a "blast" drive like my E55 was, it'll do for the wife. She wanted a "big" sedan with good brake feel and steering with good road feel and the 7 was about the only thing she liked. She drove the LS and turned around after a block because it was way too floaty and not torquey enough, the S class was just too "old" since a new one is around the corner, the Jag was not even considered which was strange since she loved the older ones.
Hopefully the next Gen LX will be just that much better than the current Gen LX, we dearly miss our 04 LX....too bad the 3rd row seat was hard to access, about the only flaw we found in that SUV, oh the power was a joke too

Menu on the 2001 GS430
I figured out how to get to the same menu on the gen3 nav systems. Go to the system options screen, touch the top left of the screen, bottom left of the screen, top left of the screen, bottom left of the screen, then the bottom right. You get a menu almost like the gen4, which also has the override option. Didn't see that anyone else had posted anything on it, so I thought I would....

How do you get to the sysyem options screen on a 2004 Rx330?
Update-I touched the DVD button from the menu screen, then followed the above directions. It works! The override button appeared along with other icons.

Just checked the forum after a long time and read this entire post. When I read your message and tried it I was thrilled it works on my gx470 2004. Thanks again to everyone who posted ...

Navi Overrde & Service Screen
AllData is a remarkable service. I found the detailed description on the Service screens (how to get to them and how to use them) in AllData. (The information is also posted on this site.) A subscription for one vehicle is only $29.95 a year for the first vehicle and $14.95 for 2nd and beyond. The benefits of AllData is that it can answer just about any technical question you have regarding "How to" on your vehicle. www.AllData.com
