No offense to your brother, but the current 05 and below CLK is one of Mercede's most outdated cars, IMO. The new GS should be MUCH nicer inside and out than his CLK, although being that he has the AMG model of course his CLK would blow your GS' doors off without even trying. But power aside, I'd rather have the GS for sure.

Congragulations....and welcome to Club Lexus. You picked quite a way to join...a new GS

If you are not aware of the proper break-in procedure for a new car, PM (private message) me and I'll give it to you.

And...I also recommend this product by KitWax/Northern Labs...it's called SCRATCH-OUT. Great stuff...I've used it for years. Keeps the paint just like new by taking out virtually all of the surface scratches, stains, blemishes, etc...as long as they are not too deep into the paint.

there's a pricing thread (sticky). Read it.

Get a clear bra- don't hesitate, just do it.

Could you make the break-in procedure public?
Thanks in advance

Congratulations. Which dealership did you purchase from? $1600 over invoice for a loaded 430 is a smoking deal. I'm sure other potential buyers would love this info. Welcome to the club.

typeshblue, welcome and congrats on what sounds like a great deal. We are starting to see more and more 3GS in the Bay Area.

I'm sure there are many people in this forum that would love to hear some pointers on how to 'play the game' to get a great deal like you got. If you get a minute , check out the pricing sticky and give us all the lowdown.

that is the price of a GS 330 so if that is what they are willing to give you the GS 430 for i would DEFINTELY do it
