Default BS or not, clear bra does NOT stay on front bumper?!

I've never heard of anything like this before. Does anyone have the clear bra installed but does NOT include the front bumper? Thanks.

When I had the dealer throw in the clear bra with my GS, they only did the hood and side view mirrors. When I asked why the bumper wasn't done, my sales guy stated that since the bumper was polyurethane, most people just get it repainted after awhile.

I had him get the bumper done as well a few days later.

In arizona with all the insane amounts of construction you would have to be crazy not to own a clear bra. I only had it on the bumper on my old infiniti and when I got rid of it at 115K the hood looked like a stary night. Its a must to preserve the finish. The cars paint finish is one of its most noticable attributes in my opinion

I have friend who owns shop to do the clear bra. I can have him do it for you for $550-$600. I even did my headlights. He did a good job for me.

I got mine installed before I took delivery of the 3GS. Best investment you could do for your car IMO.

hm...does the clear bra work well if you have it put on a car that you go tracking with? I mean will it protect the front of the car from any damages going over 100mph?

It will definitely help reduce damaging your paint from road debris.

My GS, I'm definitely doing the clear bra. For the small issues (wax buildup, line visible) you can either soft tooth brush the wax off and the lines are barely visible at first glance. I've used the vinyl bras before, and they're just pain in the butts to maintain to ensure that dirt doesn't get underneath and scratch the paint and haze the hood. $800 investment for a $50K car, damn right it's going on.

Well said. I tried the Lexus Accessory Front End Mask on my previous Lexus prior to applying clear bra to it. It was definitely a pain to keep dirt from getting trapped underneath the mask especially driving through dusty areas in long distances, it's almost impossible to avoid.

I finally got my clear bra done today. I regret i didn't get this done when i purchased this car. After 16K miles, there are alot of chips i could of avoided when i purchased this car new if i had this covered. Anyhow, i am now protected. The clear bra now actually covers the paint chips. It looks nice and clear. For those of you just purchased your new 3GS, i highly suggest to get the clear bra done. Get the full frontal cover. Even the headlights. I saw some scratches on them as well. It is the best investment you can to do for your car.

Did you wind up going with the clearshield or venture? Was it Sunny that did your install?

I got the Clear Shield. Yes Sunny did the front bumper. However, the rest was done by his employee. Did you have some air bubbles forming after the install. I pointed out the air bubbles when i picked it up but the employee told me, the air bubbles will go away. I will give it a week and see. If it is still there i will have to take it back. However, it looks awesome. It covers from edge to edge. When I saw the dealer install of the clearbra, i didn't like it at all. I am so glad I got it now. Better safe then sorry. I should of got this done when i got this car.

I had small bubbles both times I had it done (1st time with Ventureshield and 2nd time with Clearshield). Ventureshield started to yellow so they switched me out to Clearshield under warranty. Russell, Sunny's assistant, did my 2nd install and did a great job as well. He indicated that it usually takes 2-3 weeks for those bubbles to go away - there's 2 or 3 on mine. My experience is that they indeed do go away after a while, or they can put a small needle in there and let it out.
