Questions for those running 20's
I'm thinking about running 20x9 and 20x10.
I'm trying to get an idea of what offset and tires sizes you all are running on your cars currently. Obviously with the lack of suspension stuff out there for the new GS we all wont know if there's going to be rubbing problems once they're lowered. But I would appreciate an idea of what you're running.
Also, i know that one member that works at F1motorsports cut his springs and is running some 20" Lowenharts can you give me your input on how much i can stuff in the fenders? Since you're the one driving around w/ a lowered ride.
Thanks!

I'm running 20x8 20x10 43 offset. They are Lowenhart BR5's from my 2002 GS430. I had to mod the front calipers on my 2006 GS430 (grind the tops which was easy because they are made of aluminum, then I polish them, look nice! Yea I know warranty blah.) The front tires rub on the plastic inserts inside the wheel well when the wheels are turned over 3/4. To be honest I do not think I will lower this one. I hate rubbing tires and besides it looks good now. With my 2002 GS lowered, the fronts rubbed on the inserts and the backs rubbed on the top of the lip when I hit a big bump or with one or more persons in the back seat which cut my tires. Any car I have ever lowered rubbed so I Would think the 3GS is no exception. Hope this helps.

thanks for the input...what tires are you running? I'm wondering if the current tire choice is what's causing the rubbing at more than 3/4 turn. As for the rear...rolling the fender might help that.

understandable. hehe dont want to be driving on rubber bands.
wonder if you went w/ a narrower tire like toyo or falkens in a 255 or 245 up front, if you'd have less problems rubbing as the tire's sidewall wont be as squared off.
